Write Me A Song

"We're all feeding our lonely, like it might just go away...."

Depression is an overrated word, and often misunderstood just like the word "loneliness." You do not make it go away by labeling it as such. You do not help someone who is caught in it by simply saying "I understand." Like love, it could mean different things for everyone. The only common thing about these two is that they could place the person experiencing it under real danger. It could destroy a life. For good.

We all deserve a second chance but it is always something that we have to fight for. To struggle to live is something that we all have to learn on our own. In a way, bouts of depression are a necessary evil that we must all live through in order to learn how to best deal with our own lives and not just survive, but be able to live it to the fullest. It is because of such spells that we come to really know our true selves and accept it; to learn resilience; to live courageously; to love life and celebrate it. But in our journey towards healing, we simply cannot make it on our own. We need people - not just ones who knows how to empathize but those who truly care.

Lonely and depressed people do not need pity. They do not need scraps of attention. What they need is a chance for forgiveness.

When you have made a dreadful mistake resulting in the near-wreckage of your life, the hardest thing to do is to accept that you have indeed made a mistake. But that necessary first step is needed before a journey to forgiveness, and self-love can commence.

To be a positive force in someone else's life; to be able to help someone regain the confidence to truly believe that they have the power to change their futures for the better by investing in the present, to believe in themselves one way to truly save a life.

kaigachi is a conjugation of the Japanese term "kigaicha" or crazy. It roughly translates as "crazy about something."

"One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light but by making the darkness conscious." - C.Jung
