Bring.My.Own.Bag (BMOB) Day at SM North EDSA Hypermarket

I chanced to be at the SM North EDSA Hypermarket last December 16, a Wednesday. I discovered all about the BMOB Day. Customers are expected to bring their SM green bag or any similar shopping bag when shopping. Those without such have their goods placed either in cartons, or in thick brown paper bags. Wet goods are wrapped in thin plastic sheets first.

It is very nice to know that the SM North EDSA Hypermarker management has a campaign as commendable as this. Hopefully, this can be replicated in other SM Hypermarket branches, and perhaps even in all SM Dep't stores. It is a great way to directly involve shoppers in eco-friendly consumerism. Personally, after I experienced the BMOB Day, I have been bringing my SM green bag every time I shop. It feels good to be able to help Mother Earth even in such a small way.
kaigachi is a conjugation of the Japanese term "kigaicha" or crazy. It roughly translates as "crazy about something."
