Love the Silence.

Nobody likes awkward silences. It is why we almost always rush in to fill the gaps between threads in our everyday conversations. This usually happens with people who we are not familiar with, although it can also happen during talks with people we already know. At such times, silences are then even more awkward and embarrassing. It just is scary to think that the other person may believe that either we cannot follow the conversation, or  we are not interested in it, or we are too distracted to even make a follow-up comment, or even other worse possible reasons.

As Emerson said, friends are people with whom we may think aloud. Just as important, friends are also people with whom we can be comfortably silent with. Silence is an invisible, yet tangible bond that could spell a world of difference between individuals.

Be aware of people who can understand you, especially beyond words. If they are already your friends, take very good care of them. They just might be the ones who can make you feel warm, safe, and appreciated even without saying anything. In their silence, they are giving you space or time that you may need to find that which will enable you to express yourself better. They are telling you that there is no rush. They will be there to listen when you are ready to speak.
kaigachi is a conjugation of the Japanese term "kigaicha" or crazy. It roughly translates as "crazy about something."

"One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light but by making the darkness conscious." - C.Jung
